Bespoke Glass Commissions
Original glass designed around a person, a place, a story or simply an idea.
Custom work has been at the heart of Siobhan's studio practice for more than three decades. She is particularly skilled at taking an initial thought — even when it is not yet a finished idea — and developing it into a piece of glass that feels completely at home in its setting.
Commissions range from individual wall pieces, windows and highly personal artworks to architectural installations, commercial work and public projects. Scale, colour, form, imagery and detail can all be developed specifically for the client and the space.
You don't need to arrive with a finished design
Some clients come with a very clear brief. Others have a room, a view, a colour palette, an important story or simply a feeling they want the finished work to create. Siobhan can work from either starting point.
The design process is collaborative but straightforward. Siobhan will talk through the possibilities, practical requirements and budget, then use her experience of glass, colour and making to develop the idea into something that can be realised beautifully.
Start with a consultation
A consultation is the best starting point for a new commission. It gives you the opportunity to discuss the space, scale, colours, ideas and practical considerations directly with Siobhan before deciding how you would like to proceed.
The private commissions gallery is only a very small selection of earlier work and was last substantially updated in 2016. Siobhan has continued to take on bespoke commissions ever since; the website simply has not kept pace with the volume of work leaving the studio.
